The Renewed Abode experience is a journey through recognition, removal, replacement and refinement of your existing living spaces.  This journey is therapy for both you and your home, here’s how it works:

RECOGNIZE. First, we identify what, if any, are the current challenges in your life, for example, a stagnant career.  We then see where this is being reinforced in your home using some fundamental Feng shui principles and intuition, yours and mine.  This process will be a learning experience for you to gain knowledge and hopefully a new level of personal awareness you can put to use on future work in your home.  (This part of the process is optional)

We will look at the visual use of space, the flow (ones ability to travel effortlessly through your rooms), the textures, materials, and surfaces, we will identify how you truly use (or don’t use) your space, what activities are currently not accommodated in your home that you would like to be able to enjoy but currently feel there is ‘no space’ for.  Here’s a hint:  99% of the time you have plenty of space for your needs and even most wants!

REMOVE. Next we will remove the excess.  This will often be a challenge for us, as you probably will have attachments to a lot of your stuff.  Even stuff that you never have and never will use.  You will have to decide how ready and willing you are for this phase, and we’ll progress accordingly.  If you’ve ever wanted to find the courage to purge, now would be the time.  No one regrets this afterwards, I assure you.  The reason this step exists is very simple.  If you’re holding on to too much stuff, you’re holding onto the past.  And if you’re holding on to too much of the past, you cannot move into the future and improve your life.  Be brave.

REPLACE. This will be the time we move any furnishings back into the room that we have moved out temporarily.  Also, using the example of improving your career momentum; if you’ve been working at home on a desk that is ready for the dumpster, or was a hand me down from a bitter and unsuccessful person who gave up on their dreams, I’m going to insist you throw it away the second you can afford a new one.  And maybe even sooner.  One of the principles of Feng shui is that every object carries energy, good or bad, energy which is dictated by its history.  Some objects simply don’t deserve to be in your home.  You are of value; your environment should reflect this.  I don’t mean expensive furnishings; I mean quality, useful furnishings.  You probably have more than enough of these pieces in your home already.  Most people do. 

REFINE. The last step, once we’ve put together a pleasing layout of your space, is to add the final decorative and inspiring touches typically using what you already own.  This final step is what defines the space as yours.  This can also be a time for creating auspicious arrangements for specific purposes such as career improvement.

$120:  2 hour consultation.  First we ‘recognize’ (see above), than we discuss the positive changes you can make to your home.  I leave you with your ‘can do’ list, and some rough space planning sketches as time allows.

The Refreshed Abode:

$210:  4 hour consultation.  This appointment includes everything in the Inspired Home package and the physical re-arrangement of 1-2 rooms typically (as time allows).

The Renewed Abode:

$390: 8 hour consultation.  This appointment includes everything in the Refreshed Home package and the physical re-arrangement of 2-3 more rooms typically (as time allows).

Please understand, the number of rooms we will have time to work on will vary depending on the amount of physical items we will be working with, the space, and the layout of your home.

Drive time to and from your home:  Outside of 25 miles from my office I will bill $40/hour drive time calculated in 15 minute intervals.

Exclusive of or in addition to the packages above, hourly design consultation is available at the rate of $60/hour.
